Every day I meet people with various health problems in the office. They concern the musculoskeletal system and other systems. My education and experience is a combination of REHABILITATION and OSTEOPATHY. I believe that it gives me great opportunities to help patients best. The concept of "rehabilitation" is rather known and is associated with the majority of people with massages, exercises and physical treatments that are supposed to restore health. What is "osteopathy"? The creator of osteopathy is medical doctor Andrew Still - for the date of its birth, I take the year 1874. The word "osteopathy" consists of two parts: "Osteon" meaning bone and "pathos" which means suffering. The name itself signals that according to Still, bones have a key role in identifying the cause of the disease and restoring health. "Bones can be used as levers to release pressure on nerves, veins and arteries." (Still, 1908). Osteopathic medicine is a science and an art. It developed for many years, and finally it reached us, therefore, for several years,  you can already acquire knowledge and skills from this fascinating profession. One of the more recent continuators of this treatment was Professor Irvin M. Korr (1909-2004) - a philosopher, humanist and excellent scientist in the field of osteopathy. He devoted his life mainly as a lecturer and researcher at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. According to Korr, the musculoskeletal system is the most massive system in the human body. His huge energy demand is satisfied by other systems, with nervous ones at the forefront. That is why osteopaths are effective in discovering the causes of diseases and can cure many diseases. Knowledge in the field of rehabilitation helps me in choosing the right exercises and completes the final effect of osteopathic (manual) treatment.
